Bemfola

What is Bemfola used for?

Bemfola is a medicine used in women undergoing IVF treatment. Bemfola is used to stimulate the ovaries and to get them to produce more than one egg.

How is Bemfola administered?

Take this medicine as instructed by your doctor at the exact times and in the doses listed in the stimulation protocol you received from our clinic. It must be administered at the same time every day.

Before injecting it, wash your hands and prepare the injector pen with the cartridge. The line with the units according to which you set the required amount is important. The amount of units you choose on each day is based on the simulation protocol you received at our clinic. Once you insert the needle, it’s ready for injection.

Because this stimulating medicine must be administered subcutaneously, we recommend pinching the skin on your abdomen to form a small ‘fold’, into which you will insert the needle at a 90-degree angle. After you administer the dose around the navel by squeezing the side of the injector pen, discard the used needle and use a new needle for each injection. You should also choose a different injection site every time.

How to store Bemfola

This medicine is best stored in the door of your refrigerator in its original package, which protects it against light and freezing temperatures. Avoid storing Bemfola at temperatures over 25 °C.

What are the side effects of Bemfola?

Side effects are rare with Bemfola, but you may experience headaches, fatigue, skin breakouts or sensitivity at the injection site.

For many couples, using donated oocytes (female reproductive cells - eggs) is the only hope for having a child of their own. Patients often go through a long and challenging journey before deciding to choose donated cells from an anonymous donor for their family. Typically, these couples have already undergone treatment with their own cells, which may have failed once or multiple times—biochemical pregnancies, miscarriages, failed implantations, no embryo transfer, countless exams, and surgical procedures. The option of using donated eggs typically comes after couples have faced exhausting experiences that haven't led to their desired outcome.
