Embryo implantation (nesting)

Embryo implantation takes place on the 6^t to 7^th day after fertilisation. The goal is for the embryo to attach to the uterine lining. This process can be aided by additional methods such as assisted hatching or EmbryoGlue. After successful implantation, the hormone hCG starts being released into the blood, which allows confirmation of pregnancy.
